Editorial Policy

How Casino Wallet Guide selects, scores, and updates the casinos it reviews. Source standards, conflict-of-interest rules, and correction policy.

Scope

This editorial policy covers everything published on Casino Wallet Guide: operator reviews, payment guides, how-to articles, comparisons, and rankings. It applies to all named authors and to any contributor publishing under our masthead.

How we choose which casinos to cover

We list a casino only if it meets the following baseline:

  1. Accessible to Ugandan players — registration is permitted from a Ugandan IP address and UGX or USD funding is supported.
  2. Mobile money cashier path exists — Airtel Money or MTN Mobile Money is supported for deposit, withdrawal, or both, either directly or through a documented gateway.
  3. Licensing is verifiable — the operator publishes a licence number we can cross-check against an issuing authority (LGRB Uganda, Curaçao eGaming, MGA, etc.).
  4. Withdrawal policy is published — pending times, document requirements, and limits are visible before sign-up.

Operators that fail any of these are not listed as partners and are not added to the ranking, regardless of commercial offer.

How we score

Every casino on the ranking is judged on four criteria, weighted equally:

  • Payment clarity (25 %) — does the cashier list Airtel Money / MTN MoMo openly with the exact minimum deposit and supported currencies, before sign-up?
  • Withdrawal honesty (25 %) — are pending times, daily limits, and review steps published in plain language?
  • KYC predictability (25 %) — is the document type and timing visible before the first deposit, not after the first withdrawal?
  • Mobile usability (25 %) — does the cashier work cleanly on a 375 × 812 viewport, with reasonable tap targets and form spacing?

Welcome bonus size, game library breadth, and homepage marketing are not part of the score.

Source standards

  • Primary sources first — we cite operator T&Cs, payment gateway docs (Airtel Money, MTN MoMo), and regulator publications (LGRB Uganda, Bank of Uganda) before secondary sources.
  • Public verifiability — every claim about minimum deposit, withdrawal limit, KYC time, and licence status must be linkable to a public source.
  • Dated facts — financial details (limits, fees, tariffs) carry an “as of [date]” stamp because operators update terms.
  • No fabricated screenshots — illustrations are clearly marked as editorial visuals, not as proof of cashier behaviour.

Author transparency

  • Every review and guide carries a real author name with a profile page, location, and area of expertise.
  • The publication date and last-updated date are visible at the top of every page.
  • Authors disclose any direct relationship with an operator (e.g. paid consulting work) on the relevant page.

Conflict of interest

  • Affiliate commission is the primary revenue model. This is disclosed on every page that contains an outbound partner link.
  • Affiliate status does not affect ranking position, scoring, or the inclusion of cons.
  • We do not accept editorial payment for placement or guaranteed positive coverage.
  • Operators do not preview or approve content before publication.

Updates and corrections

  • Routine updates — every operator review is reviewed at least once per quarter. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent review.
  • Material corrections — factual errors are corrected as soon as we are notified. A dated correction note is added at the bottom of the page when the correction changes meaning, score, or recommendation.
  • Reader-reported issues — email editorial@casinowalletguide.com. We aim to acknowledge within three business days.

What we do not do

  • We do not write under fake author personas.
  • We do not publish reviews of casinos we have not opened on a real device.
  • We do not promote unlicensed operators or operators with documented unresolved payout complaints.
  • We do not target self-excluded players or include sign-up incentives in newsletter content (we have no newsletter at this time).
